“It’s not like, you know, I’m a conspiracy theorist or anything, but…” or “I’m not saying it was some kind of conspiracy or anything but…”
Those types of phrases never cease to make my skin crawl. It was especially tiresome during the evidence free conspiracy theory around Russiagate, which was merely a theory that Robby Mook, Hilary Clinton and John Podesta finalized on election night 2016. I mean how could she lose to Trump? Come on!!! Rest assured this is not about that. This is about the word, conspiracy, what it means and how the U.S. the West and has been Cali-fornicated. How the media, posing as the cool kids, got an entire nation of so called grown ups to subvert their principles to the level of sniveling idiots.
The simple part first is that conspiracy is a real thing! It is a felony count, usually added after the fact. Murder, larceny, any tort, qualifies for a count of conspiracy if two or more participants hatched the plan, regardless of it being successfully carried out. Attempted bank robbery or murder will have conspiracy thrown in. That one count, alone, is around two to five years.
The word was made dirty in 1969. The trial of Clay Shaw, leveled by New Orleans DA Jim Garrison, was the only homicide charge brought in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. As more and more records reveal what we, the great unwashed knew for decades, is that the CIA did kill JFK. Of course, in 1967 thru 1969 when Garrison was getting massive press, the CIA had to smear him as a higher office seeking kook. Hence, the term Conspiracy Theory was born.
Since then, even asking a question will get some to label people as a crackpot with that term. Being the jr. high level toddlers some can be, it gets them to self-censor, back off, shut the fuck up. God forbid, that the cool kids think you otherwise…
Anyone thinking Oswald acted alone doesn’t read and has never fired a gun.
I’m not rehashing JFK, here. I did a show last year on the single bullet theory and the Warren Commission. You can hear it here.
Not many people noticed that collusion was used in place of conspiracy during the Russiagate fracas. The media insisted that President Trump colluded with Russia to “hack” our election. While synonymous, it’s not a criminal charge of any kind. However, since the media reserves the use of the word conspiracy for themselves to smear opponents or anyone telling an inconvenient truth, what to do? We can’t call ourselves conspiracy theorists! That would tarnish our awesome reputation. No, let’s not call ourselves that… thus the word is still used as intended. Kid tested, CIA approved. By the way, for CIA infiltration into media, look no further than the Church Commission of the 70s. Senator Frank Church exposed the CIA take over of media in the U.S. with roughly 4,000 journalists, TV personalities and media personnel on CIA payroll.
In the 90s, George Carlin appeared on Politically Incorrect. This was Bill Maher’s first show on ABC. Carlin was being lambasted as a conspiracy theorist when he said something that got my attention. To paraphrase, he said, “You don’t have to have guys in a smoky room, chomping cigars declaring the fix to be in. All you have to do is have a couple of parties acting in the interest of their peer group and of course, said peer group will go along with it. Especially, if it’s in their own interest.” However, to be specific, conspiracy is often more than just a “couple of parties.”
What’s the final on this? Do yourself a favor, know the difference between conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact! Regardless of the topic, look at the result, then work backwards. It inevitably leads to money, power, another war, or a combination thereof. Look at the Ukraine War. It’s solely about energy and selling more weapons to NATO nations. The U.S. wants to corner the EU into a banana republic status. If you think the U.S. is about “human rights,” then you are seriously deluded. Don’t answer your phone, as you may purchase a car warranty for $10,000.
The world can be an awful, dirty bit of business. It’s utterly naïve and infantile to think that people who you already don’t trust couldn’t be capable of plotting. How many times has a confidence been put in your hands and you said, “don’t worry. I won’t say a thing!” Voila! Conspiracy!
If this stuff makes you uncomfortable, it’s supposed to. Sleep tight.
